Val Verde Unified School District (VVUSD) is located in Riverside County (California) and serves 19,844 students in grades TK-12 who reside in portions of Perris, Moreno Valley, and an unincorporated area of Riverside County. The District encompasses sixty-seven square miles. The District is developing a long-term facilities plan which will allow the District to prepare for upgrades, modernization and new schools.
Mead Valley and Val Verde Elementary Schools’ modernization has been completed with the addition of new wings at each site as well as remodeled multipurpose rooms and upgrades throughout the campuses. The expansion at Rancho Verde High School was completed that included new classrooms, a stadium and athletic fields.

In addition to the modernization and upgrades at Val Verde Elementary, Mead Valley Elementary and Rancho Verde High School, Val Verde Unified School District opened Lakeside Middle School and Sierra Vista Elementary School in August of 2003. In August of 2004, the District opened Val Verde Alternative Education Center, Red Maple Elementary School and Columbia Elementary School. In August of 2005, Val Verde opened Lasselle Elementary School, Avalon Elementary School and Citrus Hill High School. In August of 2006, the District opened Triple Crown Elementary School, March Middle School and a new wing at Rainbow Ridge Elementary School. In August of 2008, the District opened May Ranch Elementary School. Due to a reduction in student enrollment, Red Maple Elementary School was closed in May of 2010.

Subsequently, the Val Verde Virtual Academy opened on the existing campus of Red Maple in August of 2010. With the passage of Measure L, the District opened new Kindergarten buildings at Mead Valley Elementary, and we have begun building Orange Vista High School which is scheduled to open in August of 2016.
